Find the obstruction or fault in the rainwater route

1. Observe where water escapes. Describe the overflowing length or leaking connection, including what happens during rain. We inspect that point alongside the adjoining gutter and downpipe so the visible spill is connected to its cause.
2. Clear collected material. Leaves, moss and other debris are removed from the affected channel and outlet. Clearing allows the gutter's condition to be assessed without sediment hiding cracks, strained seals or low sections.
3. Check alignment and support. The gutter fall and bracket positions are examined with the fascia fixings. A clean channel still overflows if its shape or support directs water away from the outlet or leaves a low point.
